In this conversation, Thomas and Hanni share why member care is truly a life-and-death issue for mission workers. Together with Mags, they unpack the biblical foundation and calling of member care and offer practical steps churches can take to build a culture where the whole body actively supports and sustains those they send.

    Thomas and Hanni have served since 1978 in Africa, Europe, and Asia in theological education, national and international leadership, member care, and third culture kid care. They have spent their last 10 years in Indonesia working with local practitioners to develop member care Indonesia (MCI), an inter-agency network focused on equipping churches and agencies in preventative member care. They are currently assisting newer sending countries with member care training.
